About this campaign
NRDC's "Microplastics Are Micromonsters" is a national public health PSA campaign launched in 2026 to raise awareness about microplastics accumulating in the human body. Each illustration pairs a colorful "micromonster" with a single, doable behavior swap to help people reduce their everyday exposure, while the broader campaign also pushes for systemic reductions in plastic production.
The campaign provides broadcast-ready radio PSA materials that local stations can download and air at their discretion as part of their public service efforts.
